Sheriff’s Patrol Division

    The Patrol Division of the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office is routinely the first contact the public has with our office.  The patrol division is responsible for answering the initial calls for service, service of Criminal and Civil Processes and the transport of individuals to facilities for treatment of Mental Illness or Chemical Dependence, as well as inmate transportation between the Stanly County Detention Center and local and/or state facilities.

    The twenty-seven members of the Patrol Division are divided into four squads.  The Patrol Captain is responsible for the division and is assisted by two Lieutenants who are responsible for the supervision of two squads consisting of a Sergeant, Corporal and four deputies.   The members of the squads are divided between three designed response zones and strive to reach each call for service in a timely manner.
